The animals found here are gaur, elephant, tiger, sloth bear, wild boar dog, Nilgiri langur etc. Topslip, its main tourist area is located in the north west corner . Its name was derived from a practice followed during the time of British rule, when the timber harvested from the forest was slipped down a canal from the hills to the plains below. There is a bird watch tower at Kariam shola, 2 kms away from Topslip. Trekking and hill climbing can be organised on prior bookings.  Elephant safari and Jeep safaris are also available.

The Masaniamman temple :

A giant size sleeping goddess , the only one of its kind in the country makes the Masaniamman temple a must visit for tourists. Based on a true story of a woman who lived in this part, suprising yet true, one of its main puja happens in the graveyard once every year , again the only one in the entire country and may be even the world. Its believed that anything lost can be found by applying a paste of red chillies on the diety which then has to be cooled off with a special puja once the lost thing is found. Special entry passes can be organised by us for a peaceful prayer.
